Successful implementation and sustainability of Policy Governance® is generally done so with the assistance of a trained consultant.  The investment in guided training provided by experienced consultants who have worked with other boards, is highly recommended. A board who makes a decision to transition to Policy Governance® should consider a number of important factors:  Are the consultants properly trained?  Do they have experience with a variety of organizations?  Do they belong to a consulting practice requiring peer involvement and collaboration?  If the unexpected happens and a consultant cannot fulfill a scheduled event, can other consultants step in?

Policy Governance® Network (PGN) staff are graduates of the Policy Governance Academy taught by John and Miriam Carver.  They have experience as CEO, board chairs and board members utilizing the Policy Governance Model.

The "self-study" approach to implementing Policy Governance® cannot replace the training, coaching, and consulting relationship provided by our trained staff.  When you call PGN you will be connected with a consultant of your choice from those listed below, or if you wish, one will be selected for you according to your needs.  They will listen to your questions and, only after understanding your board's readiness, will suggest the next steps to transition to the new model.  Please review the biographies below to see who may be the best fit for you and your board.
