  Overview Sessions


We recommend that boards read the principles of Policy Governance® and then schedule a discussion at their next meeting to explore the possibilities.  Continue to investigate the benefits of the model.  The next step is an Overview Session which provides an orientation to the Policy Governance® Model to assist in understanding why the principles form the frame work that support all board decision-making.  A PGN consultant can lead an Overview Session to answer questions and provide examples  demonstrating the practice of boards that have made a commitment to its practice.

  Full Transition Service 


For organizations that have already made the decision to adopt Policy Governance®, the next step is to find the best and most effective approach to making the most efficient transition.  Organizations that successfully implement the Policy Governance® Model have done so with the assistance of a trained consultant.

Sustaining Policy Governance® over the years requires an ongoing commitment.  Throughout the year Southwest Michigan PGN provides Regional Workshop Sessions that assist board members and executives to deepen their understanding of the powerful benefits found with best practice of the model.  These sessions about two hours and are designed to encourage sharing of ideas, techniques, and innovative solutions that boards good opportunity for board members and executives to network with others, and report back to their organizations.
